Third World Music, located in Camarillo, Calif., is off to a running start with hundreds of hours already spent in the studio and its first record planned to be released in October. Since starting business in January 2004, Gerrick Hewitt, President of Third World Music, has already signed 2 groups and 3 solo artist to the label with genres ranging from rock to rap. The first album due out, Golden State, features Vallejo Calif. rapper Gutta (aka Reeko Escovedo), son of hit producer Pete Escovedo and nephew of award winning percussionist, Shelia E. Hewitt said, "With Reeko's strong music background, determination to succeed and dedication he has what it takes to make this record a huge success."
